this charming and colorful piece was originally exhibited as a point-of-sale marketing tool (you can tell by noting the small hole punched in the middle of the top of the piece where the store owner would have strung some twine through to be able to hang the piece in his store or store window)

Images were built up through layers of paint rather than ink, resulting in a poster which more closely resembled a painting than a litho.
